  • Lunar eclipse December 2011

Posted on December 9th, 2011 rudrarup No comments

A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes behind the Earth so that the Earth blocks the Sun’s rays from striking the Moon. This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned exactly, or very closely so, with the Earth in the middle. Hence, a lunar eclipse can only occur the night of a full moon. The type and length of an eclipse depend upon the Moon’s location relative to its orbital nodes. The most recent total lunar eclipse occurred on June 15, 2011; it was a central eclipse, visible over Europe and South America after sunset, over Africa and most of Asia, and Australia. The year’s second most important lunar eclipse will occur on 10th of December evening at sunset. Contrary to solar eclipse for which you need special goggles, lunar eclipse can be seen through naked eye.

An average person contains five to six quarts (roughly 4.7 to 5.7 liters) of blood, which consists of plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Also, the digestive system works with the circulatory system to provide the nutrients the system needs to keep the heart pumping.

Following is a nice video about how the blood circulation system works in the human body.
